I don't know what her administrative abilities are but I know one thing. There is no one in America who is more informed and clear thinking on immigration policy than Michelle Malkin.
What is unfortunate is that a reasonable voice like Malkin's is getting drowned out in the public debate by GOP partisans who believe that William Jefferson Clinton had a better playbook on immigration than Ronald Reagan.
Strong border security is the essence of the front line in the war on terror. Obvious improvements have been made in the unmanned drone aircraft etc. But as Malkin points out today in a blogosphere and print exclusive - the "all knowing", clumsy, and too disorganized to "cleaning up" homeland security through the birth of huge government reshuffling is not working yet.
The pain such mistakes cause is painful, the security risk that such clumsiness causes is unacceptable!
Malkin spits fire, is tough as nails - and she has common sense. She'd surround herself with an outstanding staff with cajones to do the job of protecting us. She's not afraid to stir up some dust and we wouldn't have 80-year old ladies getting shook down in airports. She would kick some illegal immigrant ass and question people who fit the profile wherever necessary....
I second that motion - Malkin for Homeland Security Secretary.

I'm afraid that Ms. Malkin has no future in government service, having written a book praising the internment of the Japanese in World War II. Although I tend to agree with her book, the donks would have a field day attacking her. Already in the donk circles, she is known as "The discredited Michelle Malkin."
She's tough, honest, and doesn't take any crap from anybody. She criticizes the President harshly for not closing the borders and cracking down on illegal aliens. But the donks will hang her out to dry were she ever to be nominated for any office. Her only avenue into government service is to be elected. No confirmation hearings - no grandstanding. But she is also a mom and a wife and very, very busy. I'm sure she isn't even interested. Too bad, though. Not only would she get my vote, she's not a bad looker either.
