Asked at the Press Conference

I'll discover the man's name, but a bald-pated fellow asked the President at this morning's press conference:

Q Thank you. Senate Democratic leaders have painted a very bleak picture of the U.S. economy. Harry Reid was talking about soup lines, and Hillary Clinton was talking about the economy being on the verge of collapse. Yet, in the same breath, they say that Social Security is rock-solid and there's no crisis there. How are you going to work -- you said you're going to reach out to these people -- how are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?

THE PRESIDENT: Continue to speak to the American people. . . .

The President said, essentially, that he was going to disregard these Dems and make his case to the American people. And what else can he do? He cannot sit down and have a meaningful discussion with Reid concerning soup kitchens or Hillary about our imminent doom.

And he might have to spend his political capital on GOP legislators in regards to SSI.

Another example of the "Limbaugh Echo Syndrome" Rush made that point on his show yesterday, and obviously this guy listens to him! You go, El Rushbo!

Ah, the age old L.E.S.

The question I've got is: how long before the MSM seeks to have Mr. Bald-pated Fellow's media credentials revoked for asking such a horrible question?

Oh and in addition to L.E.S., El Rushbo always says his show is "show prep for the MSM", this is just further confirmation.

Reid is being politically and intellectual dihonest.. if the economy is still bad, then the Dems can't claim Social Security is not in trouble.

Reid is being politically and intellectual dishonest

It isn't just Reid; it's his entire party, and it is why they are in the minority. It's still going to be (to quote my favorite Bushism) "HARD WORK" to keep them in the minority, but so far they are helping every step of the way. The interesting part is, I'm not sure they even realize it yet. For a group that claims to be smart, they ain't. Let's just hope that Kennedy, Kerry, Biden, Boxer, et al don't retire. I'd hate to see them replaced by someone who actually has a brain (unless, of course, it's a Republican).

Amen, Retired Spook. They continue to "out" themselves to America, and they haven't figured out that they're doing it. Janeane Garafolo was on Scarborough Country recently, and actually said that "Bush is not electable", and when Scarborough asked her how he kept getting elected, she said she didn't know "voter fraud?". Braindead. They just keep proving they are braindead!
