Adnan Pachachi, an elder statesman of the Sunni population of Iraq who had called for postponement of the election, had these words to say about the election:
Well, I am encouraged. The results are much better than I had expected. And I think this is an important first step toward establishing a democratic system in Iraq...I hear that the turnout in Mosul and in Fallujah has been far greater than we had expected, which is a very encouraging thing. But as I said, the final figures will probably not be known for another few hours. But on the whole, the situation is far more encouraging than we had expected.
But, But, John "friggin" Kerry said not to over hype the results of the election.
Ohhh ,I'm sooo confused. Who should I believe?
Was it a success and an historic day or not?

I can't wait to hear how the donks and the media (same thing?) try to spin this!

With some hard work and perseverance maybe we can morph the political demographics in Iraq into American politics. Can't you just imagine 60% Shiite (GOP), 20% Kurd (Independent) and 20% Sunni (Donk). Then the Donks could threaten to boycot our elections, and if some defy the boycot, well....... Sounds like a plan to me. Chuckle, Chuckle!

This is very good news. Hopefully now we will see a lot more co-operation from the Iraqi's and the Sunnis will abandon the terrorists.
This is definately a good sign for the future of Iraq.
I guesse the donks and terrorists wont get thier civil war after all...
