Romney Has Solid Support In Blue State Massachusetts

The Boston Globe reported today that Governor Mitt Romney is viewed favorably by two-thirds of Massachusetts voters... Not too shabby for a Republican governor in Kerry/Kennedy Country.

Also interesting, "more than half think it's OK for him to leave the door open for a run for president even as he campaigns for a second term as governor." However, it's not going to be a cakewalk for Mitt:

... Romney's re-election is far from assured, with Romney and top Democratic rival Attorney General Tom Reilly running in a statistical dead heat for governor according to the University of Massachusetts poll.

The full poll results can be found here.

While I'm happy for Gov. Romney, this says to me that schizophrenia is pandemic in Massachusetts. You throw in the MA Supreme Court that OK'd gay marriage, and the Bay State is loonier than the Bay area (of San Francisco).
