More Democratic DeLay Hypocrisy SurfacesBecause the smear campaign against Tom DeLay is based on actions in which many members of Congress engage, we will see many instances where Democrats have committed the same transgressions as those of which DeLay is accused. While House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's untoward activities are yet to be investigated, it looks like Rep. Bernard Sanders of Vermont is now on deck.
It is reported that Sanders paid his wife and stepdaughter over $150,000 for campaign work. Receipt by DeLay family members of private campaign money (not public money) is one of the charges leveled against him. Again, given the "everybody does it" nature of the DeLay charges, we'll probably see more of instances surface of Democrats doing the same thing.
