The Sunday Morning Talk Shows

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to the Reverends The Thomas G. Bohlin, U.S. vicar of Opus Dei, and Joseph Fessio, provost of Ave Maria University; and also Sister Mary Aquin O'Neill, director of Mount Saint Agnes Theological Center for Women. Russert, as he often tells us, was schooled by nuns in Buffalo. If the Church has a cut, he'll try to rip out the stitches.

Pope Benedict XVI will be questioned in absentia on the day he is formally made the Pope.

FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace talks with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and the insufferable Dick Durbin, Democrat of Ill. Later, he'll talk to Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, no doubt about the TV special regarding the filibustered judges with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tennessee).

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer, will chat with Senators Chris Dodd (D-Connecticut) and Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky).

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos interviews Senator Joe Biden (D-Delaware) and Jon Kyl (R-Arizona), both of whom sit on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Kyl favors the Constitutional advise and consent process with each of the President's nominees, while Biden believes the Senate need not do this for at least ten of those nominated to be appeals court judges.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolfgang Blitzer chats with Senators Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter (R-Pennsylvania), neither of whom support all of the nominees and both of whom favor the use of the filibuster for judicial nominations.
