Father Arrested For Protecting His Son

It happened here in my home state of Massachusetts...

Police arrested a Lexington father who refused to leave the Joseph Estabrook School yesterday after school officials rejected his demands that his 6-year-old son be shielded from any discussions about gay households.

David Parker, 42, confronted officials after his son brought home ``Who's in a Family,'' a storybook that includes characters who are gay parents.

Yesterday, Parker refused to leave a meeting after Lexington Superintendent Bill Hurley rejected his demand that he be notified when his son is exposed to any discussion about same-sex households as part of classroom instruction.

``Our parental requests for our own child were flat-out denied,'' Parker said in a statement.

This is unbelievable. Does it make any sense that school today use outdated books, but can provide free condoms for students. That I had to get a permission slip in order to be administered Tylenol by the school nurse, but a teenage girl can still get an abortion without parental notification, and that a parent can't make decisions about the welfare of his own child so that the school can indoctrinate young children with pro-homosexual material?

My home state always goes out of its way to make fools of us. First it was Ted Kennedy the murderer, next John Kerry the biggest liar in history (sorry Bill), then it was all about punishing only boys for boy/girl sexual inapproriateness in highschool (boys get expelled, girls get vacations), and now kindergardners need to be exposed to homosexuality. There is absolutely no proof homosexuality is okay, and frankly i'm pissed at channel 7 for prentending like it's as commonplace as male/female. Channel 7 didn't even pretend to hold back their own opinion. 20 years ago my parents would have gotten a letter sent home for regular sex ed, and that was in 6th grade. Why not just let them know Santa, the easter bunny, and the tooth fairy are all fakes while we're at it? aren't these people supposed to be teaching math, science, and english? Strike that, this is kindergarden, they should be teaching 123, abc, tying shoelaces, and how to take naps. Whomever this teacher is should be fired, the principal should be fired, and the S.I. should be fired as well. I totally support this father.

It's the "We know what's best for you and your family" attitude of the left coming out yet again.

I totally support this father also,BushSquared. If I were this father I would make sure this story was made known through out his whole town. I wouldn't give up, there must be other parents that think this is wrong also.

School is for teaching, not indoctrinating, a disgusting and completely abnormal lifestyle.

I would also consider a parochial school.

This kind of indoctrniation has to stop!!

Should have kept the closets locked.

It's horror stories like this that are the reason I've spent fifty grand sending my kids to Christian school on top of the taxes I'm being syphoned for to subsidize the dreck from which I've been paying through the nose to shield them.

I'll take a breath now....
