This article from The American Enterprise is a must read for anyone who wishes to understand the real costs, blood and monetary, of political correctness. We often latch on to the absurdities of PC such as the insistence on "African American" rather than "black", but the real work and destruction of political correctness usually fails to implant itself on the public mind. The short story is that political correctness, because it forces people to do and allow stupid behaviour, actually kills:
...Chance and Powell were released due to an expedient and highly symbolic decision by L.A. officials. With Daryl Gates, Mark Fuhrman, and the rest of the LAPD on the roasting spit, nobody dared question claims of an LAPD racist frame-up. It didn't seem to matter that the murder victim was black, or that the eyewitness who identified Chance and Powell was black, or that 17 years later she stuck to her ID.Upon his release, Benny Powell, now a millionaire, was feted on TV talk shows. He also embarked on a rampage of drugs, rape, beatings, car chases, and shootings. One shootout landed him in the hospital--between two paid speaking engagements. After a brutal day-long cocaine-fueled motel rape of a UCLA student (in which he employed an ax handle as his raping tool), he was finally arrested for good when a witness saw Powell in a field chasing a nude woman with her hands tied behind her as Powell beat her with a stick.
Just one in probably 10,000 cases; how many people have been injured and killed because of political correct dictates? The concept that an organization can only function properly if it has a set number of black, female, gay, handicapped, etc members is an absurdity...but it is an absurdity enforced with demonic energy upon the United States, and especially upon those organizations (police, fire, military) which are necessary for our peace and safety.
The solution to the problem is an application of political will; we of the right hold the majority power in the United States, and we must use it to enforce elementary notions of common-sense and fairness. We must proclaim and stoutly defend this concept: if a police force or fire department is made up of 100% Bangladeshi immigrants, that is ok provided they were the best qualified people for the job; we must, if necessary, pass a law making it illegal to use alleged "racial disparities" in workforce staffing as "proof" of discrimination.
Bravo! What an excellent post.

There are still people grieving in Atlanta because of PC. A 5'2" armed woman in an enclosed area with a desparate man led to...let me think, 8 dead? Including the judge. To coin a phrase from an old protest song, "When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn."
