Looking at the Roll Call for the Cloture vote on Priscilla Owen, it's not surprising to see which Senators wanted to keep obstructionism alive and abuse the system for the benefit of a small fringe group of radical Leftists:
Biden (D-DE)
Boxer (D-CA)
Cantwell (D-WA)
Corzine (D-NJ)
Dayton (D-MN)
Dodd (D-CT)
Dorgan (D-ND)
Feingold (D-WI)
Jeffords (I-VT)
Kennedy (D-MA)
Kerry (D-MA)
Lautenberg (D-NJ)
Levin (D-MI)
Lincoln (D-AR)
Murray (D-WA)
Reed (D-RI)
Sarbanes (D-MD)
Stabenow (D-MI)
The list includes a Senator who won his seat by disregarding the rule of law, another Senator who disenfranchised voters by switching parties after an election, a Senator who conspired with the enemy during wartime, and a Senator who has praised Osama bin Laden.
It's not suprising they have no respect for the Constitution of the U.S.
Democract refuse to vote on owens because they are afraid of her climb to being a very sucessful woman and they hate america PERIOD if they were americans first and true senators they would vote to bring on NOT THESE 14 NAZI COMMUNIST PIGS Especially JONH KERRY THAT POS would fight to the death to keep her out Even Kill people to distract from the way he votes

Let's not forget the unconstitutional campaign finance reform bill named after Mr. Feingold.

You forgot:
The plagarist (Biden)
and
The homicidal drunk (Kennedy)

I'm mildly surprised to see Maria Cant-Vote-Well on that list. She's up for re-election next year.
Guess she doesn't think she's got anything to worry about in that regard.
She's probably right.

Jason,
While I sympathize with your feelings about the issue, I would be careful to critize Jeffords for switching parties after being elected...see Phil Gramm and Ben Nighthorse Campbell, two great Republicans who were Democrats when elected...just an FYI...

Doug, unlike Jeffords, Gramm resigned from Congress in 1983 and ran in a special off-year election for the same seat as a Republican. His rationale was that those who voted for him as a Democrat in 1982 may not have supported him as a Republican. In 1984, Gramm won a seat in the U.S. Senate as a Republican.
The difference between principled Republicans and unprincipled Democrats.
