Today a judge upheld Washington's 2004 gubernatorial election "rejecting Republicans' bid to nullify the 129-vote victory of Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire."

Despite plenty of evidence to the contrary, "Chelan County Superior Court Judge John Bridges denied Republican claims that election errors, illegal voters and fraud stole the election from GOP candidate Dino Rossi."

This is a sad day for our democracy.

Over at Blogs For Bush I note the contradiction between this ruling and how the Democrats view the election in Ohio... PunditGuy says, "so, we're stuck with her." PoliPundit, "the Ghosts of Tammany Hall have won this battle." Captain's Quarters says, "Quite frankly, I don't see how the judge could have ruled otherwise on the basis of the irregularities mentioned in the article.
