Tom Elia gives us the story over at The New Editor:
U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison announced Friday that she will run for another Senate term, ending months of speculation that she would challenge Texas Gov. Rick Perry for the Republican nomination in 2006
It seems that Governor Perry has gotten himself into some GOP trouble in Texas, but this announcement would indicate that he's mended fences enough to at least avoid a bruising primary fight for re-nomination. This, in turn, allows the GOP to concentrate entirely upon keeping the Texas state house in properly Republican hands.
