Is Howard Dean Available For Comment?

So Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid received donations from lobbyists too...

Where's Howard Dean? Shouldn't he be at a fundraiser or convention suggesting that Harry Reid "ought to go back to Las Vegas where he can serve his jail sentence," or something?

The article points out that lobbyist donations to lawmakers legal defense funds are probihibited.

A spokesman for Tom DeLay said "[a]ny donations that are in noncompliance with the rules pertaining to legal defense funds will be returned."

Reid of course "had no idea..."

Reid spokeswoman Tessa Hafen said the senator received a contribution from a longtime friend who had registered as a lobbyist shortly before the donation. She said Reid was not aware of the registration at the time.

Hafen said the legal defense fund account is closed and Reid has asked the Senate's ethics committee how to proceed.

Come on Howard Dean, why won't you condemn Reid the way you did Tom DeLay... Oh, that's right, Harry Reid is a Democrat... my mistake...

Except Harry Reid isn't from CO. He's from Nevada, so it'd be Las Vegas that he'd have to return to.

Howard's too busy, Matt, playing demagogue this weekend at the Democratic National Committee's Hispanic Summit in San Antonio, Texas, where he's pandering to the "Latino voters" who he blindly presumes have no issue with porous borders and runaway illegal immigration. Howard, you see, is quite "loco" and, happily for we Republicans, remains the proverbial loose canon. Good news; the majority of Hispanic voters recognize the homeland security threat of porous borders and overdue immigration reform and hold both political parties accountable.

Matt,

But why should we here in Las Vegas get stuck with him? Heck, we elected him to the Senate to prevent him from doing even worse damage than he'd do if he remained in-State...perhaps Oklahoma can take him?
