The Sunday Talk Shows - Lineup

Sunday, August 7, 2005

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to Professor Douglas Kmiec, professor of Constitutional Law at Pepperdine, and an outmatched Mario Cuomo concerning the role of religion in the confirmation of Judge John Roberts.

FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace asks: " Is America’s policy in Iraq working?" Unlike some reporters, Wallace won't try to answer it himself. He'll talk to Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Dick Lugar of Illinois and ranking Dem Joe Biden of Delaware.

Then he talks to Senator Jim Bunning and Representative Tom Davis about steroids.

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer, will deal with "Quagmire, Quagmire, Vietnam" and the insurgency in Iraq. He'll talk to House Armed Services Committee Chairman Duncan Hunter of California and Senator Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island), who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos promises an "exlusive look at" Judge Roberts, his positions on abortion and school prayer, and what President Bush wants to do to the Supreme Court. I see some serious mind reading and/or voodoo happening here.

The Ohio National Guard unit which just lost twenty soldiers in Iraq is from the CD represented by Dennis Kucinich. Steph talks also to him.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolfgang Blitzer chat with General David Petraeus, U.S. Army, the Multinational Security Transition Commander in Iraq, about when the Iraqis can take over their own security. He'll also speak with Senators George Allen and Babs Boxer from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Plus his usual cast of thousands.
