Bloomberg Strong in New York City

He's way too liberal for my tastes, but for New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg is considered to be to the right of Attila the Hun...and he seems set to cruise to an easy re-election this November:

Three out of four city voters - no matter whom they plan to support - believe Mayor Bloomberg will win reelection this fall, a new poll shows. That's bad news for Bloomberg's Democratic challengers, all lagging behind him by at least 16 percentage points, according to the latest Marist College poll.

"It's become an exhibition race," said Marist pollster Lee Miringoff.

Who would have thought that this exceptionally blue city in an exceptionally blue State would be set to give the GOP its fourth straight mayoral win? To give you an idea of how blue it is, my sister is considered a bit of a moderate in New York City, and she's self-described Marxist. Well, they say that if you can make it there you can make it anywhere...so, here's to the coming GOP victory in New York...proof that we'll eventually win everywhere in this great nation of ours.

Bloomberg's reelection makes complete sense when you realize he is a liberal moron who appeases Muslims and terrorists:

Lurking at the center of the current struggle, ostensibly about snooping in bags, violation of constitutional rights and such, is the question of racial profiling--an incendiary issue that has set off a rhetorical war to match. Mayor Michael Bloomberg has declared an ironclad ban on anything smacking of profiling with an eye to any particular ethnicity or race. If we have learned anything, the mayor recently declared, "it's that you can't predict what a terrorist looks like."

What a genius. The only terrorists who have been hitting US interests since the 70s have been Muslim Males between the ages of 17-40. Maybe Mayor Dipshit can't predict what a terrorist looks like, but with 30+ years of the same profile, I have a damn good idea what the next one will look like. What an idiot. And New Yorkers, in my opinion, are idiots for keeping this man in charge.

It seems we have a pattern developing here. Mayors (and former mayors) of NYC who proudly wear the mantle of the Republican party all the while acting in every possible way like the leftists that they really are. Bloomberg is just a shorter verison of Rudy, without the nasty personal life.

You have to be an idiot to want to "make it there". Bad weather, air pollution, traffic, sky high taxes, obnoxious liberals everywhere. And those are just the good points.
