Taking Back the Memorial

Ever since Debra Burlingame rang the alarm about the multiculturalist, anti-American attempt to hijack the September 11 memorial, there has been a battle over the soul of the site. It looks like we're winning.

In an apparent concession to some Sept. 11 victims' relatives who said that the World Trade Center Cultural Center could disrespect the dead and America, John Whitehead gave the International Freedom Center until Sept. 23 to work with family members and produce specific plans for its museum. If the plans do not satisfy the LMDC, he said, "we will find another use or tenant consistent with our objectives for that space."

We have to be careful here that this approach is not watered down or changed after the attention dies down. But it is a good start. Those more than 3000 people who died in that one attack should be honored and there should be no other purpose or agenda. Period.

It should be a slam dunk. Liberals lie and don't change. We have to dump this cabal of America haters and fund the Heritage Foundation to do the museum.
