Just a Grieving Mother?

That is how Cindy Sheehan is presented - but that is not what Best of the Web Today finds in a transcript of a Sheehan speech:

...I'm gonna say, "And you tell me, what the noble cause is that my son died for." And if he even starts to say freedom and democracy' I'm gonna say, bullsh**.

You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. You tell me that my son died to make your friends rich. You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana, imperialism in the Middle East. You tell me that, you don't tell me my son died for freedom and democracy.

Cuz, we're not freer. You're taking away our freedoms. The Iraqi people aren't freer, they're much worse off than before you meddled in their country.(emphasis added)

Really, need we say anymore about the actual motivations of the so-called anti-war forces in this country?

Mark: When they say, "You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. "

You tell them, "If all we wanted was oil, we could have let the sanctions drop and buy it from him just like France, Russia, German, and China did when they were defying the sanctions."

Because there is absolutely no counter response that they can use to refute it. Why? Because it is the truth. Their kind (leftists) were whining and moaning that WE were causing the Iraqi people to suffer under the sanctions regime and advocated their end. We stood by the sactions because Hussein didn't meet his end of the bargain he agreed to after we kicked his ass out of Kuwait. We stood on principle, those enlightened French who were content to enrich the murderous terrorist supporting tyrant.

There is nothing acceptable about denying facts like these. Doing so does not equal "dissent", it is purely slander directed against the President of the United States. Anyone who let's it stand has no respect for themselves and absolutely no respect for their fellow countrymen.

Oh, and:

"You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. You tell me that my son died to make your friends rich. You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana, imperialism in the Middle East. You tell me that, you don't tell me my son died for freedom and democracy."

Boilded down: "You tell me what I want to hear! Just repeate everything I say back to me! I don't care if you disagree! Do what I tell you to do!"

What lovely people. Really. Their right to disagree is paramount and you should simply be nodding your head in agreement. How self centered. How pathetic. Petulant children every last one.

Valient,

They are, indeed, impervious to reason - as CJ points out over in the comments on B4B, if President Bush had lied about WMD, then he would have seen to it that WMD's were planted in Baghdad for us to find...of course, like all conspiracy theories, the assertions of the left fall apart upon even cursory examination.

It would all be entirely unimportant except for the fact that our armed enemies lap this stuff up - it gives them the hope necessary to keep fighting in the face of an American and allied military force which crushes them ever time they raise their heads. Cindy Sheehan might be upset over the death of her son, but her actions are ensuring that far more sons and daughters (ours and theirs) will have to die before this war is over.

"The Iraqi people aren't freer, they're much worse off than before you meddled in their country."

This woman needs to get out of the ditch more often and actually talk to some Iraqis. This statement by her completely gives her away. Anyone who says the Iraqi people are not freer today than prior to 2003 is delusional, ignorant or blatantly lying. I have a feeling that Mrs. Sheehan is guilty of all three.

Also, remember the scene at the SOTU speech in which the Iraqi woman turned and hugged the parents of the soldier that died in combat and thanked her for her son's and for their sacrifice to free her country. The left (liberals, Democrats, Media) cried and whined about that as propaganda. Now look how they treat this Cindy Sheehan scam. Simply pathetic.

More and more each day, with their reactions to incidents such as this, we find out just how much the left (liberals, Democrats and media) hate America. Thank God for the conservative media or I shudder to think what would have happened to our country ... and the world ... considering were it not for the United States leading the way in the fight against evil, I dare say that everyone else would have stood by and let evil do what it wished.

Follow the "logic" here folks: Bush lied to get us to invade Iraq which would only prove he had lied.

Do they grasp the stupidity of their nonsense? The only reason this crap is still even being reported upon is because the MSM, as Mark pointed out on B4B, won't ask the followup question: "Why did he lie?" The reason is the MSM is in bed with these morons and doesn't want their message interrupted, discredited or destroyed.

Jonathan summed it up nicely on the "Doing the MSM's Job...Again" post:

"How worthwhile would the press reports have been of over 6,000 Americans killed in one day in Europe if they were not accompanied by the context that there was a massive amphibious landing in Normandy that day?"

I am convinced the left in this country and their lapdogs in the MSM are determined that we lose the WOT and they will stop at nothing to see that agenda through to it's horrific end. At which they'll blame the right for mis-managment of the WOT and for failing to protect the American people when the loss of the WOT inevitably results in more attacks on American soil.

They are treasonous bastards. If they can't get a grip on themselves, then I for one, am all in favor of reinstituting the Alien and Sedition Acts!

Liberal fools try over and over to deny the fact that this hateful wretch, Cindy Sheehan, is just exercising her right to free speech and that the claims that she's being used by the Left are false. Well, I don't think there are many who would argue that that white whale Michael Moore is anything but a far leftist. Take a look at the The front page of his web site. Sure looks like he's exploiting this "grieving" mother.

Code Pink, another left-wing group, has this page as their main page on their web site. They also are using the bitch Cindy Sheehan for their own purposes. Notice the prominent location of the Donation button right next to the Sheehan propaganda.

The New York Sun does a little digging into some of Sheehans supporters, too. Here's some of what they found:

For starters, Ms. Sheehan has been posting on Michael Moore's Web site, writing, "We have such a strong coalition of groups. GSFP, Code Pink, Veterans for Peace, Military Families Speak Out and the Crawford Peace House. I talked with John Conyers today and he wrote a letter to George signed by about 18 other Congress members to request that he meet with me. I also talked to Maxine Waters tonight and she is probably going to be here tomorrow."

Every one a far-left organization or mouthpiece.

Veterans For Peace
Crawford Peace House
GSFP (Gold Star Families for Peace)

John Conyers, that worthless representative to the House from Michigan, had this to say about the Bush administration:

Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) said America was being ruled by the "Bush mentality," where "crony capitalism" was supreme.

Now if old Johnny doesn't like Capitalism, what do you suppose he likes? (hint: think Karl Marx)

Also, from the NY Sun, we have this:

The news that Congressman Conyers and Congresswoman Waters are involved fits with the rest of the picture. Mr. Conyers was the host of a Democratic "hearing" in June on the Iraq war that his fellow Democrat, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, protested was a forum for "people motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel animus." And Ms. Waters is still best known for having endorsed the conspiracy theory that the CIA caused the crack epidemic in American cities.

There is absolutely no doubt that Sheehan has joined forces with the ultra-Left and has done so for political purposes. She is free to do that, but in the process she is claiming that she is motivated by the loss of her son. That is a lie. Her son's death is an excuse for her to grab center-stage and get paid attention to in order to promulgate her political agenda. That dishonors her son, Casey Sheehan, by using his willing sacrifice for his country as and excuse to spew the hate from the far Left. Although she is free to speak, hateful words have consequences and one must be accountable for what one says. She is about to find out what that means. After the lights are turned off, and the short-attention-span Liberals move on to the next "big thing," she's going to be very, very alone. Even her own family has disowned her. I hope she's miserable.

Excellent point "Reverend." She will be a distant memory to the hateful left by this time next year (or sooner). And her Family might follow suit.

Here is what they had to say:

"The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect."

As a twenty year war vet myself, I can tell you that my family was VERY CLEAR on my purpose and calling - they would never have reacted in this way.

Sheehan wants to ask the President "Why did you kill my son?" I have a better question for Her... "Why are YOU killing more of our young men and women by emboldening the Enemy?" Aljazeera is already eating this stuff up, and THAT is where I draw the line on my sympathy.

The War on Terror MUST go on!

The mainstream media has spent a huge amount of time this week focusing on the much-hyped shenanigans of one Ms. Cindy Sheehan, who has been snatched up by an energized motley crew of anti-war activists and thrust into the media limelight. Notwithstanding her statements to the press only last year about her meeting with the President after the death of her heroic son, Casey, her political views today are being presented to us by MSM as being rooted in years of consistent political activism. The obvious irreconcilable difference between her statement last year and her posturing last week seems to be overlooked, discounted, or ignored by the MSM. So have the nefarious comments made by those who wish to kill us.

Those who approve of her volunteering to put herself through her lame gesture of public grief and outrage are eager to grab on to anything they can use to obstruct, deny, denigrate and debase the current administration in any way they can. She’s apparently willing fodder. She reminds me of one of those women out in the mideast who display their grief by whipping themselves in some sort of orgiastic public release of emotion. As an American, she’s entitled to do that if she feels so inclined. Still, I feel a sense of embarrassment at the time, place and method she has chosen. I’m an American too, and I take umbrage with her implicit categorization of our Commander-in-Chief as a murderer. Coming from Ted Kennedy, I can take it. Coming from Michael Moore, I can take it. I understand that they are ignorant cowards and fools. Their agendas are well conceived, and orchestrated specifically for media coverage. They are “the pros.”

But I know little or nothing about this woman. I’ve seen and heard enough to know that she’s working her way through a world of hurt. Like some irrational child throwing a temper tantrum who suddenly sees a way to get what she wants, her thrust into the media headlights has left her giddy and emboldened. Her “handlers,” the media hounds, are spinning her grief into tangled webs of misinformation and deceit. It sounds like a potentially winning combination for both parties to me. Quite frankly, it’s frightening.

Meanwhile, the war on terror goes on. I hate to break it to Ms. Sheehan, but war entails casualties. Eventually, she may come to realize that her loss is a statistic, just like the statistics that inexorably grab people on the highways and byways of America and renders them to the grim reaper, or those that take the lives of people like Peter Jennings. Instead of cursing the hand that she was dealt and insisting that somehow things be made right under the wrongful path that she proposes, she might want to consider what her beautiful and courageous young son dedicated his glorious life to.

She should join those of us who are keeping our eyes on the enemy. It is they who should be in the media cross hairs, not our President and Commander-in-Chief. Not this Administration. Not the Department of Defense. Not the Republican Party (on this issue anyway). Not the overwhelming mass of the American population who share her revulsion at foreign military entanglements, yet clearly understand that if we don’t fight them at the source, they will come to our shores, to our cities and towns, and strike at people just like her, just like you, just like me. They will not stop until they have decimated our nation’s population, economy and infrastructure beyond repair. If you don’t believe me, listen to them.

http://jihadwatch.org.

I urge you to go there and read the quotes from the enemies who face us. They are clear about what their intentions are

As we watch Ms. Sheehan’s drama-du-jour unfold, brought to you by the willing fifth columnists in the media and the loonies on the left, we should consider their objectives. In highlighting the events, they hope to use Ms. Sheehan’s grief stricken howling to sway the course of discourse over the war issue and turn America’s will against this conflict. We must not allow this to happen. If it does, we shall certainly face the enemies in our streets and the death count will be staggering.

I urge everyone to visit the jihadwatch web site while it’s still there. The winds of fortune, political correctness and financial burden may cause this web site to disappear within a short period of time. I hope you will consider contributing whatever you can to help to fund this web site’s existence.

I’m Daniel R. Bogdan, and I approve of this message.

What a difference a day makes!

Now I see a report on the Drudge Report website that not only is she demanding an audience with our Commander-In-Chief, but she's also adamantly demanding that Israel pull out of "Palestine" (wherever that nation-state is), and states that she won't pay her 2004 income taxes until Pres. Bush returns her son alive to her. Riiiiight...

And... she's also using the "I word" (impeachment) as an added inflammatory insult.

Clearly she has crossed the line where her justifiable grief was able to be used as a shield against those who would criticize her. Not she has shown herself for what she is - just another ignorant, leftwing lowlife braying rhetoric against the Administration, our foreign policy, our way of life, and - interestingly enough - our Income Tax system. While she might have found some residual support from me on the IRS issue, she is clearly in the pocket of the Michael Moore/Ted (can't swim) Kennedy crowd.

It seems that the Dems have continued to lower the bar of civil discourse to even greater depths than I thought possible. I'll be posting a blog at my "home blog space" soon, answering her comments and those of the top political "leadership" of the Democratic party. Since they have defined the level of acceptable discourse, I guess it's fair to answer them in kind...

http://manuse.com/blog
(I'm "Eye of the Storm")

Stay tuned. I'm sure we'll be hearing more from this wretched pile of human excrement... You can be sure the traitorous MSM will be hanging on her every word and pass on the newest diatribes as they become available.
