Hehe it is a great juxtaposition isn't it?

However, let's be honest and realize that Houston officials, and Gov. Perry are operating with the full knowledge that Katrina offered. NOLA officials and Gov. Blanco didn't have that "luxury".....though, they did have an evacuation plan they ignored, so....who knows what I'm trying to say. ;)

Oh, and the caption I saw somewhere else for the second picture is: Mayor Nagin's Motor Pool.

I don't think it has anything to do with learning from New Orleans' mistakes. Houston was more prepared for Katrina than New Orleans was. I am not worried about Houston at all. They have extreme fortitude and seem to have a much better working government than New Orleans. They'll be fine. I'm not worried about them at all.

"However, let's be honest and realize that Houston officials, and Gov. Perry are operating with the full knowledge that Katrina offered."

Cause as we all know no hurricane had ever hit LA before. I mean there has never been any other examples along the gulf coast, right.

So what were you trying to say Todd?

I agree Houston is more prepared than New Orleans, but does anybody else realize that the back bus in the Texas picture (which is the only one we can see in) is EMPTY!

I love the image juxtaposition and what it says about mayoral leadership, but...
Did anyone notice that the rear bus in the Houston picture appears to be empty? (I.e., no heads: one can see straight through it to the next bus in line.)

Unfortunately, the bus at the end of the line looks empty...!!! What gives?

Maybe they are being moved to a mass pick up location.
