Finally, the truth is being told.
Former FEMA director Michael Brown aggressively defended his role in responding to Hurricane Katrina on Tuesday and put much of the blame for coordination failures on Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco and New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin. It's remarkable that it is taboo to note that while Jeb Bush handled Florida's 4 hurricane's last year and Haley Barbour handled Katrina well and Rick Perry managed through Rita, Kathleen Blanco (and Ray Nagin) not only completely bungled the management of the situation but could not even maintain any composure or professional demeanor."My biggest mistake was not recognizing by Saturday that Louisiana was dysfunctional," Brown told a special congressional panel set up by House Republican leaders to investigate the catastrophe.
