Sorry folks - have to be honest. Not really diggin' he new look. It's dull - no color, drab looking.

Great new look, and as usual and expected great content. Keep it up, please.

I've always enjoyed Lisa's work, and this is another example of her talents.

Like it easy to read. Too many colors detract from the meat.

Great new look! Congratulations. Here's my suggestion for an (honorary) Republican quotation, from Zell Miller:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the agitator, who has given us the freedom to protest. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, serves beneath the flag, whose coffin is draped by the flag, who gives that protester the freedom to abuse and burn that flag."

Here is a great quote from Ann Coulter (I think from her book treason).
"Whenever the nation is under attack, from within or without, liberals side with the enemy. This is their essence."
Pretty much sums it up!

I don't like the new design, either... but not having the old to look at to compare it to, I'm not sure I can exactly place my finger on it. I'll try and give some guesses, though.
As Robert says, it looks kind of drab. I think that it's the title graphic that's giving that impression.
If I remember correctly, the old design had vertical dividing lines. Those helped to visually seperate the extra stuff on the side from the actual posts in the middle. I like that. It helps the page to look less cluttered.
There's very little space between the side elements and the posting area. That's another thing that makes it look more cluttered. There's a lot of space on the outer edges... it would help a lot if you reduced the space on the outside and increased the space between the posts and the side content. Perhaps with more space, there wouldn't be as much of a need for the vertical dividing lines, but I would personally prefer both.
The quotes look squished up against the top, and I notice that with longer quotes, there ends up being no space between the bottom of the quote and the title graphic, either (but with shorter quotes, there's lots of space below). I'd like to see one line of negative space above and below the quote, regardless of the quote's length.
The font for the quotes is too small, too. They look like more of an afterthought than a design feature. Now that I think about it, the fact that it is above the title graphic adds to that perception as well... I think it would look better under the title graphic (boxing it might also make it look better).
One last thing... it is possible to size the side elements to a specific width and then make the center element take up the remaining width, regardless of the size of the browser window. That way, there doesn't end up being a lot of empty space over to the right hand side for those with larger computer screens to play with.

Sissy I have always loved that poem i actually have it listed on my AOL profile. IT IS THE SOLDIER by Charles M. Province makes me proud to be an American. And its always nice to see someone ie Zell Miller remind the lunatics on the left of these rights.

I have tried at multiple locations on multiple computers and I am unable to see the title graphic at all. There's just this blank space where it ought to be at the top of the page...

BTW, I like the new look of the blog. The white background didn't change, but it is best for reading. The GOP Bloggers banner is simple, yet strong.
