I'll bet the store that the advise and consent process is going to involve two demands from the left that we need to anticipate and answer loudly and clearly.

1) Since the candidate is replacing O Connor we need to nominate a "SWING" jurist- (or the end of America as we know it!)

2) The American people expect fair play and therefore, Republicans must not upset the delicate "BALANCE" on this constitutionally independent branch of Government, by not attempting to move it to the right! (or the end of America as we know it!)

Talk trash if you wish. This a father.
Should kids on Halloween have to be PC?

It was a perfect Halloween. Warm, fall evening, with leaves blowing in a breeze. Pumpkins and candles. Tiny spooks running through the neighborhood.

Something that can bring together mystery and fun. Exploring and
adventure, knowing that Mom and Dad are whispering to each other, giggling, and maybe sneaking a few bites of the candy only a few
feet away.

A perfect night for kids, for family.

That was until my son told me something that scares me beyond any pretend display of spooky monster faces and candelabras.

A girl who wants an education and attends Peak-to-Peak Charter school was chastised, and made to wear a sign to display to other students, that wearing a Halloween costume, that had horns, was not acceptable.

Must be just one deviant child. After all, Peak-to-Peak is a part of
the Boulder Valley School District, funded by you and me.
Representing our values.

It makes sense, if you understand that Halloween has been renamed
“Character Development Day.” Can we say CDD? I only hope that, when we celebrate thanksgiving, christmas, and easter that we conceive of appropriate NewSpeak phrases. It’s a very good college- prep curriculum for the Air Force Academy, which is truly Team Jesus.

If Jesus is going to capture anyone’s heart, it is through his values, not the hypocrisy and ignorance of those who claim to speak in his name.

Other children and parents have raised this issue for years.
Is anybody listening?

Personally, I think that we are all free to decide what we believe. That thought has it’s roots in all the religions of the world. And just
coincidentally, in the Constitution of the United State of America.

Please don’t try to stuff your superstition down my kid’s throat.
