Contrary to what the media and the Democrats might think, recent polling suggests that the Republican Party is united behind the President and the GOP.
According to a Public Opinion Strategies poll, 85% of Republican
voters approve of the job the President is doing and 51% of Republican voters say they “strongly” approve of the job he is doing.
A Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll found that who voted for the President in November 2004 would cast their ballot for him again today. 90% of Republicans would vote for him again today, compared to 93% who voted for him on Election Day. The independent vote was virtually identical to how it was on election night.
There's also good news for 2006. A Public Opinion Strategies poll found that 85% of Republican voters say they would vote for the Republican candidate on the generic Congressional ballot... This is good new for candidates running for reelection.
The poll also found that Repubilcan voters are motivated early and more motivated than their Democratic counterparts. On a scale of 1-10, 72% of "Strong Republicans" rate their interest in the 2006 election as a “10” while only 67% of "Strong Democrats", rate their interest as a “10.”
So, while many on the left think the GOP isn't doing so great these days reality paints a very different picture...

Yeah, the Republicans are doing well. Bush's approval rating is the lowest its ever been. Cheney's approval rating is 19%. Yep, everything's hunky dory in the Grand Old Party.

I am very disturbed with the Repubican party as well as the democrats. What happen to the contract with America. What happen to our belief in a balanced budget and the waste in pork. Why are we letting all the jobs go overseas. This is not the Ronald Reagan party i remember. There is about 10 cents difference in the parties right now. Did Ross Perot and Pat Bucanan that much smater than everyone on our job situation. Folks we are in trouble because we are not offering anything different
