Thoughts On Election Night 2005

Well... I have to say, the gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia were quite disappointing... However, things worked out nicely in Ohio, which quite honestly, had bigger ramifications in the long run.

Well, the Senate loses one corrupt Democrat from New Jersey, and now he's their governor. Virginia elected a Democrat who resorted to dirty tricks... I imagine the media and the Democratic Party will spin the results tonight to sound like there's a coming Democrat revolution in this country. Don't believe the spin... Such a claim carries as much water as saying that after Mitt Romney was elected governor that Massachusetts would become a red state. If it's any consolation, Kaine has to deal with a Republican Lt. Governor and Attorney General..

So again, I urge you all not to believe the spin that the results of VA and NJ signify new hopes for the Democratic Party... I know this is what the media was planning to do anyway, but there we did have two good victories in Ohio and Texas...

There's no other way to say this, but we won big in Ohio... And I feel there was more riding on the four ballot initiatives than there was riding on the NJ and VA gubernatorial elections in my view. Had the "reforms" in Ohio passed, Democrats would have been free to manipulate election in the state to no end...

Texas banned gay marriage... I don't think anyone expected anything different.

As for California... I let Mark stay up for that one... But, in the meantime, check out California Conservative for coverage of the results of Arnold's ballot initiatives..
