"Voter Terrorism"

That's what Detroit NAACP member Wendell Anthony called it. I happen to be on the road this week in Detroit and was watching the local news to see the results of the Mayoral election and saw a clip (sorry I don't have a copy online yet) of Reverend Anthony trotting out the typical run-of-the-mill "Republicans disenfranchise blacks" claims. He actually claimed that Republican monitors were committing "voter terrorism". The Left's hyperbole has reached new limits as their fraud becomes more evident with each passing election. Apparently they don't like being exposed.

Three problems with Anthony's claims:

1. The candidate, Freman Hendrix, that is challenging the black incumbent, Kwame Kilpatrick... is also BLACK. (Maybe he's just not black enough!)

2. Evidence of Detroit absentee voter fraud has already been found...

3. And the FBI has been investigating allegations of fraud involving registrations in Wayne County.

The NAACP filed suit and a judge granted the group a restraining order against challengers at polling locations stating they couldn't talk to voters. Glad it took a restraining order since that was already illegal.

The Democrats have created a nice little voter fraud niche exploiting blacks. Commit fraud, then claim racism if anyone questions it.

I saw the process firsthand in Philadelphia last year. The Democrats will go into heavily minority districts and generate many fake registrations, use the absentee process to fraudulently vote and encourage folks who voted absentee to vote again on election day also. Then, when the Republicans send volunteers into polling places on election day, armed with lists of "potential fraudulent" registrations and lists of those who've already voted, to challenge any voters who use one of the flagged registrations or show up on the "already voted" list, the Democrats claim racism and disenfranchisement.

Those voters who are challenged are able to still cast a provisional ballot, which require verification before being counted.

Notice how the racism claims (and now terrorist claims) only arise in close elections or those where the Democrat is not winning? Are there any big calls for Justice Department Investigations tonight in Virginia or New Jersey? The Democrats aren't interested in a fair electoral process. They're interested in winning. Period. "By any means necessary".

UPDATE:Well, whaddya know... It appears Kwame Kilpatrick scored a "surprising" come-from-behind victory, by a margin of 13,908 votes... while "U.S. attorney's office on behalf of the FBI requested that the city preserve at least 42,000 absentee ballots, applications and ballot envelopes so the agency could investigate allegations ... that the names of dead people were used to cast absentee ballots, that ballots were sent out improperly and that there was improper assistance given by the city clerk's staff to people incapable of voting." Of course, with this new "suprising" election outcome, I suspect we'll hear an end to Democrats' worries of "voter terrorism". Just something about their candidates winning that seems to ease their cares about "rampant voter fraud" and a "wholesale faulty electoral systems". Imagine that.

I'm from the Detroit area originally and my family is still there. Knowing that Detroit is overwhelmingly black (About 82% I think), I think you will be hard pressed to find much more than a token Republican presence in Detroit.

Kilpatrick's corruption is what has him in trouble, not Republicans. He is in the mold of Coleman Young.

It's the Dem template: They mount a vicious and unfounded attack, and then brand any effort at defense as either racist or a personal smear.

Obviously, any Republican black CANNOT be 'black enough'. Look at the reception given to Colin Powell and Condi Rice. The Dems have tossed them overboard as Uncle Toms, choosing instead to claim racial advancement by adopting Bill Clinton as the "first black president".

Moving outside of race, the same tactic is clear in the Plame non-scandal. They mount a vicious attack based on a serious of blatant lies, and then when a feeble defense is mounted ("...but WE didn't send Wilson, he was referred by his WIFE..") it is turned into a pesonal attack and a smear campaign.

The sad thing is that so many libs fall for it.

Identifying any Dem as a wrongdoer in any context is always a personal attack, and/or racism, an effort to "get" someone.

The black segment of the Democratic Party has laid claim to the word "disenfranchised". While I have observed that most of those using the word probably don't know really what it means, and probably believe it shows up in the dictionary as "whites keeping blacks from voting" it has become a catchword.

How about this? How about 42,000 white voters, and/or Republicans, filing suits in Detroit claiming to have been "disenfranchised" by illegal votes canceling out their legal votes, thereby stripping them of their constitutional rights.

I've been thinking for a long time that the best way to tackel illegal voting is to use the same tactics used to block legal votes---lawsuits claiming disenfranchisement. It would get the meaning of the word out there, and it might make a point.

Because if one illegal vote is cast that is opposite my vote, I can legitimately claim to have been 'disenfranchised'. The ONLY way to avoid this is to make sure, absolutely sure, that EVERY vote cast is legal.

Money talks. It would cost a fortune to defend those lawsuits, and there IS no defense if the agency in charge (city, county, etc.) cannot prove that all votes cast were cast by legal, live, registered, identified, voters. Registered CITIZENS who are not felons, and who are breathing, and who are competent enough to fill out their own ballots. And who only vote once. What a concept!
