Americans Favor the NSA Program

According to Rasmussen.

Sixty-four percent (64%) of Americans believe the National Security Agency (NSA) should be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that just 23% disagree.
I'm not big on polls, but I know many on the Left rely on them heavily to decide how they will think about an issue today. This one might leave a mark. Even when they break down the results by party affiliation, a majority of Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike "believe the NSA should be allowed to listen in on conversations between terror suspects and people living in the United States".

Welcome to the real mainstream.

I do not agree! I do not like my civil liberties invaded on and I am not affiliated with either party. We are talking about our privacy and I prefer to keep it private. If any administration were listening to my phone conversation with out a court ok it is invading my rights. I do not care if they are Republican or Democrat it is not a party issue!!!! We live in America. This is what makes me proud to be an American

Margaret,

They'd only be listening in if you were calling someone named "Osama" who lives in a Pakistani cave.

Relax, your civil liberties are safe...the NSA program was merely the monitoring of enemy communications during wartime. The only difference between now and World War Two is that some of the armed enemies are hidden among our population.

I have no problem with them listening to my international phone conversations as long as it makes me safer. I have nothing to hide. Heck, if they want to listen to every single one of my conversations, that's fine. I am willing to give up that bit of privacy for the safety of myself and my family.

The anti-American ACLU traitors don't give a nickle for what the public thinks. These are moderate communists who want to protect felons and terrorists who want to murder innocent Americans. They want anarchy so they can get elected and forcibly restore order by imposing an ACLU police state.

All those group they defend will have free reign. The rest will be ruthlessly silenced just as conservatives are on our fascist universities. Christianity will be outlawed.

Margaret, if you are already on a watch list for your affiliation with known terrorist groups, and if you then receive calls from known terrorists abroad, you may very well have those conversations monitored. Please try to follow along here. First, you must have come to the attention of the authorities for the subversive/violent intent of your group. Second, you must RECEIVE a phone call from a known terrorist, a phone call which MUST originate overseas. If that describes you, Margaret, then you'd better keep clamoring for more protection for your 'privacy' because you are likely to be monitored.

If you were known to be affiliated with groups planning to kill Americans, and received calls from your buddies abroad, and those conversations were NOT monitored, I would be demanding that someone be fired for failing to take reasonable and prudent actions to protect this country.

If, however, you and your friends are calling each other here in the country, you are pretty safe. No, Margaret, you are TOTALLY safe, from eavesdropping. Why is that so hard to understand?
