Did Iraq's Missing WMD Fly Coach to Syria?

This guy would seem to be in a position to know a thing or two about the subject.

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.
On the other hand, he could just try to be pumping up sales of his book.
The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week.
But the story sounds plausible.
Mr. Sada, 65, told the Sun that the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops.

"I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine. We trust each other. We are friends as pilots," Mr. Sada said of the two pilots. He declined to disclose their names, saying they are concerned for their safety. But he said they are now employed by other airlines outside Iraq.

The pilots told Mr. Sada that two Iraqi Airways Boeings were converted to cargo planes by removing the seats, Mr. Sada said. Then Special Republican Guard brigades loaded materials onto the planes, he said, including "yellow barrels with skull and crossbones on each barrel." The pilots said there was also a ground convoy of trucks.

The flights - 56 in total, Mr. Sada said - attracted little notice because they were thought to be civilian flights providing relief from Iraq to Syria, which had suffered a flood after a dam collapse in June of 2002.

And the Israelis confirm it.
Mr. Sada's comments come just more than a month after Israel's top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam "transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria."
I'm only skeptical because you'd think the CIA would do all it can to salvage its reputation and blow this story open, but, then again, it's the CIA. Read the whole article.

Uh oh. Looks like we have a potential best seller on our hands here. I can hardly wait to start reading the rampant speculation and "told ya so's" on all the right wing blogs! Something tells me the New York Times won't be reporting this one, though.

Oh, and it looks like they didn't install the Diebold voting machines in time in the Palestinian territories. Think we can get them to Iraq before the next election so that we can make sure they end up with a "real" democracy?

Still looking for those things?
For the paltry sum of 1 million dollars I will reveal whose bed the wmd's can be found under!

Stupidity: it's a renewable resource!

Let me get this straight....

* There is nothing the Bush Admin would like better than to prove WMD's were in Iraq.

* The Bush Admin has had complete access to just about all major Iraqi military leaders, scientest and civilian employees of Sadam's government.

* You and I know anyone who could prove Iraq had WMD's would be generously rewarded. We have seen NO ONE else brought forth with such a story. Had any ex-Bathist provided one shred of half-truth they would have been given a ticker tape parade by the neo-con's. Strange, NO ONE has come forth...

Yet, all you BushBots are so desperate to believe that this war wasn't a prefabricated lie that you'll accept one person's just published self serving book of hearsay.

You guys are laughably sad bunch..

Where's the right wing flame job? What, nobody came to the defense of this IDIOTIC work of fiction? Gee, I wonder if the "right" wing has finally realized the extent to which that their own form of "political correctness" has gone.
Stupid liberal MSM just doesn't report on HUGE stories like the one about the terrorist, fresh from Saddam's training camp, who decided to strip out all the seats on an airliner, and charter a flight to (where?), load the plane up with WMDs, BLTs or whatever it is that Saddam had that was so bad, and then hide them (wherez?).
Hahahahahaha. Truly laughable, pathetic, and judging by your silence, very aware of this.
Betcha wish you could take this post back.

So, let me get this straight: not only did Saddam have a vast arsenal of chemical/biological weapons which he was able to keep at utterly indetectible locations perfectly maintaining the illusion that there were no such weapons, he was able to flawlessly move each and every weapon, eliminate the chemical traces such weapons leave, and on top of that destroy without any remnant material the facilities these weapons were produced at?

All at a time, let's recall, when the Baath Party and the entire military and civilian structure of Iraq was shitting itself trying not to fall apart into total chaos.

Geniuses! If only they had channeled their godlike powers to eliminate evidence of a chem/bio program into something more useful, like shooting at us!
