Hillary's $10,000 Pro-Life Donation

Hillary's $10,000 donation to pro-life Democrat Bobby Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania, troubles many on the left. After hearing for over 90 days about Samuel Alito being a threat to Roe v. Wade, it seems unconscionable that any far left pro-abortion Democrat like Hillary Clinton would donate so much to someone who opposes abortion rights.

Don't get me wrong, I'd personally rather vote for a bad Republican than sit idly by and let a Democrat win an election. But, unlike Hillary, I'd never endorse a bad Republican in a primary just because he or she is the frontrunner. Bobby Casey Jr. is merely the presumed frontrunner for the Democrats in their attempt to unseat Republican Rick Santorum. Perhaps her $10,000 could have gone to the pro-abortion Democrat in the race, Chuck Pennacchio, who not only supports abortion, but also stem cell research and nationalized health care, and opposed Alito's confirmation. Casey, on the other hand, opposes stem cell research, nationalized health care, and supported Alito's confirmation.

Knowing this information, Hillary's contribution to Casey seems even more bizarre. She did not choose to wait until after the Democratic primaries, when such a hefty donation would have made more sense. Instead, she chose the pro-life, pro-Alito, anti-nationalized health care and anti-stem cell research candidate, when there was clearly another candidate in the race that better reflects her left-wing ideology.
