Saddam's Defeat Was Indisputably Good

Western diplomats love to declare their moral righteousness by repeating the "Never Again" mantra whenever the topic of genocide is brought up, but they never follow their cheap words with meaningful actions (Darfur). Michael Totten's blogging from Saddam's torture chambers reminds us of the unmitigated evil of the Baathist regime and why Americans should be proud (and Saddam's Old Europe watercarriers ashamed) of their role in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Saddam is on trial for the deaths of 100+ civilians. He supposedly butchered 400 000 civilians. However, in 65 of the 200 mass graves discovered, only 5000 bodies have been unearthed.
Saddam was a butcher, no doubt. He killed thousands, no doubt.
But then, in the last 3 years, over 100 000 iraqui civilians have been killed. Iraq's infrastructure (water, electricity) was destroyed, in violation of the geneva conventions.
So, how are we markedly better than Saddam?

Chris, we're the good guys, they're the bad guys; that's how a neocon's mind works. Planning? Execution? Doesn't matter how well or poorly they were done. The issue is that we are Right and Good.
