what are you talking about? free speach is being used as an excuse by 1 teacher and her students. I haven't seen any liberal outcry for her defense...because there is no defense. I'm with you, the teacher and students should be held accountable and punished accordingly.

This is just ONE egregious example of liberals and free speech.. There are hundreds more on college and university campuses that occur every day, just ask any college Republican, just ask any military recruiter, just and any College Christian, just ask Ann Colter, just ask David Horowitz or for that matter anyone who attempts to espouse a conservative point of view.

To you libs, free speech is liberal speech, conservative speech is hate speech.

I was one of the people who sent a link to this story in. I am a graduate of NKU and live near campus. For the last year or so, I have heard stories about liberal professors who were all for free speech as long as it was their own. I really never thought this would happen here, but it has.

The point is, there does not have to be a liberal defense of this act to make it an argument point. The argument point is that there is a growing number of professors on campuses across the country who believe they can tell students when, how, and what to think and that there are never any repurcussions for their acts. This article points out a blatant disregard for other people's free speech rights. For every act like this, there are hundreds more that are more subtle and that few people know about.

Conservatives (and moderates) need to have an understanding of what is happening to their children as they send them to college (and even grade school). No one should have to pay tuition (and taxes) to have their children brainwashed by these types of professors.

This is just like the gun control issue...liberals rant and rave about the NRA and their actions, instead of doing anything about it...like joining the NRA to change any actions they don't like...

Next you'll say cons don't get a fair shake at getting jobs in liberal schools...good thing the ACLU is there to protect your rights.

To Opus and all other trolls: I'm perfectly happy to point out there is a difference between mainstream liberals and the hard-core lefty moonbats that this "professor" typifies. But these incidents have become way too numerous to shrug them off so lightly. Mainstream liberals need to tell these thugs to go Cheney themselves. We would say the exact same thing to abortion-clinic bombers.

Update: The professor is now on leave and will retire at the end of the year.
