D.C. Waitress Says Patrick Kennedy Was Boozing; Officer says Kennedy Smelled of Alcohol

Look like Ted Kennedy's son really was following in his father's footsteps.

U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy insisted yesterday that he had consumed “no alcohol” before he slammed his Mustang convertible into a concrete barrier near his office, but a hostess at a popular Capitol Hill watering hole told the Herald she saw him drinking in the hours before the crash.

“He was drinking a little bit,” said the woman, who works at the Hawk & Dove and would not give her name.

Leaving his office late last night, Kennedy refused to say whether he’d been to the Hawk & Dove the night before.

We can't let Kennedy get away with this. This is like a sequel to Chappaquiddick. Thankfully no one was hurt or killed, but we can defeat the Kennedy machine's corruption this time. Had blogs been around when Ted Kennedy killed Mary Jo Kopechne, perhaps he wouldn't be serving in the Senate today. We have an opportunity now to keep the pressure on and make sure this Kennedy is brought to justice.

UPDATE: Officers say Kennedy smelled of alcohol...

This has to stop. We can not have some people thinking that thay are better than the rest of us. Just too many of the Kennedys have done things that would have put you or me in jail, but thay get away with it. I say run them all out of town.

What is it the "boss" cops don't understand about..."..he was drinking hours before the accident," (waitress at the bar) and a cop saying he smelled liquor on Kennedy's breath?

The are scofflaws and will continue to be as long as they can get by with the attitude of "...my name is Kennedy and this is MY business."
