Harry Reid once said it would take a miracle for Democrats to recapture Congress. But, after a few months of scandmongering and smear attacks, his attitude changed. Democrats thought they found the key to their victory in November: an ethics war. By spending all their energy promoting their Republican "culture of corruption" message, they felt they could avoid having to figure out their own agenda, and instead of getting voted in, they could get the Republicans voted out. Well, recent problems with members of their party like William Jefferson and Alan Mollohan have finally been discovered by the mainstream media, and even the New York Times has realized that the Democrats' "culture of corruption" message is losing its muscle because of the corruption in their party finally being given attention.
