...of something like this happening in this country?
Dutch pedophiles are launching a political party to push for a cut in the legal age for sexual relations to 12 from 16 and the legalization of child pornography and sex with animals, sparking widespread outrage. We've already seen sexual predators get slaps on the wrists for assaulting children, and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg with all her other extremist views, has supported lowering the age of consent from 16 to 12. While I don't suspect a political party to emerge in this country advocating pedophilia, the existence of groups such as NAMBLA and the influence of liberal judges could put our country at risk to the same perverted results the Dutch pedophiles want to achieve in their country. The Charity, Freedom and Diversity (NVD) party said on its Web site it would be officially registered Wednesday, proclaiming: "We are going to shake The Hague awake!"
The party said it wanted to cut the legal age for sexual relations to 12 and eventually scrap the limit altogether.
"A ban just makes children curious," Ad van den Berg, one of the party's founders, told the Algemeen Dagblad (AD) newspaper.
"We want to make pedophilia the subject of discussion," he said, adding the subject had been a taboo since the 1996 Marc Dutroux child abuse scandal in neighboring Belgium.
"We want to get into parliament so we have a voice. Other politicians only talk about us in a negative sense, as if we were criminals," Van den Berg told Reuters.

OK. There is a time and place for most things, but not that.
Don't place liberalism and pedophelia anywhere NEAR each other. That's just over the line, and I can't even begin to process that.

Down the slippery slope we go!
Just the next step in demanding the right to marry one's dog, sheep, or whatever strikes their fancy!
And why stop with 12 year olds. I'm sure some would like to remove all age requirements related to sexual acts. I'm sure some would argue that society shouldn't impose any civilized rules on one's private and personal life.
Well... I would!!!

I didn't. You did. Besides, considering pedophiles and other sexual predators have been getting mere slaps on the wrist by liberal judges and the ACLU's defense of groups like NAMBLA, i think we have plenty to fear.
That's just over the line, and I can't even begin to process that.
Well, start processing... And open your eyes to the problem we could face.

Yeah, the US is at risk, maybe not in the next few years, but 5 or 10 years down the line, possibly. Just look at how far "gay rights" and gay marriage have come in the last 5-10 years. It's incremental societal degredation aided by a variety of forces. For instance, the Dutch have allowed significant immigration from Muslim nations over the years. In some Muslim nations the age of marriage for a girl is 9 years old. There are supporters of pedophilia everywhere.
Pedophilia is sooooooooooo disgusting and destructive.

Well, the Muslims should join this party in droves....

No "conservative " groups support pedophilia, besides the homocentric Catholic church. Even their its the raving liberals who have turned an abomination into an alternate lifestyle.

How is that not putting liberalism together with pedophelia?

-- You conservatives would love that! All your polygamous conservative christian followers will be able to marry 20 or 30 ten year old girls instead of just a couple.!

axis,
Yes, axis, we know, yet another typical liberal slur and slap in the face of Christians and Conservatives who disagree with your liberal lifestyle and agenda.
Now, do you agree with the Dutch pedophiles?
Do you agree with NAMBLA that young children should be allowed to "explore" their own sexuality with [predatory adults] to whatever extend both may choose as long as they mutually consent?
Do you agree that people should have the right to choose and live any sexually deviant lifestyle they choose?
Do you agree that a person should be permitted to marry as many men, women, girls, or boys as they choose?
Do you agree that a person should be permitted to marry their dog, sheep, or whatever they choose as long as it doesn't "harm" someone else?
Do you believe the U.S. Constitution should be interpreted by activist liberal judges to "protect" these deviant sexual lifestyles and then force those decisions and lifestyles on the rest of America?
Since you actively support gay marriages, surely you aren't going to object to all other "marriages" whatever those might be? Surely you support their rights too? I'm sure you and the ACLU can find some activist liberal judge somewhere who will rule that the Constitution "protects" those rights as well! How can they rule otherwise?
Anyone who believes an activist liberal judge's interpretation that the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to "gay marriages" must also believe that the Constitution also guarantees and protects all other marriages as well...
...fathers marrying sons, mothers marrying daughters, brothers marrying brothers, sisters marrying sisters, ad nauseam!
Yep... down the slippery slope we go -- right down into the sewer of liberal tolerance where anything goes!
The key to stopping this insanity in America is reigning in the judges who believe they are America's law givers!

What is so hard to understand about the pro-gay marriage position.
Marriage as a social contract is definded as being between two consenting adults, as definded by the local jurisdiction.
No polygamy, no beastiality, no pedophelia. It's that simple. Adam+Steve might not equal Adam+Eve, but it sure as shit doesn't even come CLOSE to Adam+Fido, and Rick Santorum can't make that true no matter how hard he fantasizes.
