McKinney in Runoff

Cynthia McKinney, may have squeaked ahead in her primary election, but will have to go at it again in a runoff, since she did not get the necessary 50% of the vote. How she got this far is beyond comprehension. Her party leadership doesn't want her back, especially since she assaulted a Capitol Hill police officer, and she apparently feels so entitled to reelection, she didn't even bother to show up to any of the primary debates. If she wins reelection, I won't be shocked... Democrats never wash themselves of the criminal and corrupt elements in their party.

I just sent this to you guys in a news tip:

"Since you guys have covered a few other Black Republicans running for office (like Lynn Swann in PA, Ken Blackwell in OH, and Michael Steele in MD), I figured you might be interested in seeing who the Republican challenger in GA's 4th District (Cynthia McKinney's seat) is: Catherine Davis. She is a black Republican and appears to be a strong fiscal and social conservative.

She will face whoever wins the Democratic run-off in Georgia's 4th district. Republicans say having McKinney win the run-off actually might be a good thing as McKinney has disenfranchised quite a few Democrats with her behavior who might be inclined to vote Republican (thus for Davis) in the November election."

As things are right now, she is a formidable opponent to McKinney or (Henry) Johnson, McKinney's Democratic challenger, and does stand a good chance of winning the election in November. However, if McKinney wins the current run-off, the voters disenfranchised by her, as I said before, would probably be more inclined to vote for Catherine Davis

I hope McKinney(D) loses the election. I wish she would get charged with assault on a police officer and not get a free pass on this. Why are the GOP leaders not demanding for her prosecution? Are they afraid of the race card or what? Same deal with Congressman Jefferson(D), when will he be prosecuted? Why were GOP leaders sticking up for him?
