If you needed another reason to vote Republican in this years elections...
Democrats consider the 2006 elections their best chance in a decade to recapture the House, with widespread unease over Iraq and with Republicans lagging in polls. Rep. Charles B. Rangel (N.Y.), who would become chairman of the Ways and Means Committee if Democrats picked up the 15 seats needed to regain the majority, said in an interview yesterday that he will quit Congress if the party does not capitalize on an unparalleled opportunity. Those are strong words from someone I have no reason to believe would follow through on such a promise.

Alec Baldwin promised to leave the country. In California, a state assemblyman responded to something or nother by threatening to quit politics. Now Rangel.
This is nothing new for Democrats; they've been promising to end war, poverty and racism for generations now. If one ever actually kept a promise they'd drum him out of the party.

No, when the democrats lose, (W)Rangel will claim that the GOP stole the elections, and that it is his duty as a patriotic American to remain in office and continue to fight for the little guy. Just like when all those Hollyweirdos stayed in America after 2000 because "Bush didn't really win" and they need to stay here fighting for truth.
Gimme a break.
