I get called a radical right wing fanatic all the time, but I voted for George Bush when hundreds of Conservatives I know personally thought he was too leftist to bother, DID NOT SEE ENOUGH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM AND HANOI JOHN! Stats show HALF the Conservatives stayed home in '04. Lot of votes you guys are flushing.
THOSE FOLKS WANT TO VOTE but they won't vote as LEFT as I will.
Here is where I am coming from, I did NOT vote for Gerald Ford for him pardoning Nixon - whom I also voted FOR.
I did NOT vote for Robert Dole for his midnight strolls in the Rose Garden to get George Sr to vote for tax cuts when Sr was LETTING THEM DIE A POCKET VETO, and then DOLE started the screeching "READ MY LIPS"! I also did NOT vote for Ross Perot.
Many of the Conservatives I mentioned who would not vote for Bush Jr, did vote for Perot as an alternative - they didn't properly investigate the lying piece of business, first.
But much as they hate Perot, now, they don't regret NOT SUPPORTING Bush Sr and Robert DOLE, as badly as they despise Clinton - they figure Clinton's WIN was the GOP's ABDICATION.
NOT THEIRS!
I DID VOTE, AS I WILL IN THIS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, BUT I WILL NOT VOTE FOR THE RINOS such as McCain, or Newt, or Guilianni, NO MATTER WHAT! NO MATTER WHAT!
What do you expect from those who wouldn't even vote for BUSH!
The GOP can come up with a candidate that ALL of us will support, but you show us a difference between the GOP Candidate and Hillary or Hanoi John, or we will NOT vote for the GOP. McCain is equal in every way to Hanoi John!
I'll be writing in such names as David Barton, Franklin Graham, Oliver North, Ann Coulter, John Hagee.... SOMEONE WITH CHARACTER and Founding Father political philosophies.
Someone who does NOT believe in JUDICIAL OLIGARCHIES, or OPEN BORDERS, OR OVER THE COUNTER ABORTION PILLS!
And millions of voters whom you now openly scorn are getting fed up enough to FIND A CANDIDATE THEY'LL GET TO THE POLLS AND WRITE IN FOR!
You pushed us when most of us were fed up and disenchanted and disengaged - they are angrier than ever, and NOT disengaged anymore.
Letting the LEFT SOCIALISTS pull the Center to the FAR LEFT OF SOCIALISM isn't an option.
You cannot scare us with Nancy Pelosi by putting forward the Bill Frists and David Hasterts.
Show us a DIFFERENCE between the GOP and SOCIALISM.
WITHOUT OPEN BORDERS AND AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND SCORN FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS!

Wow you guys certainly are pulling the center of the electorate here aren't you? I am sure some people thought Bush let his heart bleed too much, but millions? Where did you get that stat? Your head?

I have been a Repbulican for 20 years , I will never vote Republican as long as I live after what I have seen George Bush get us into, I am not aDemocrat either , its just one party two names and the rest of the country now know that too. We have nothing but bought and sold congress , We have no one in this govt that will represent the people and if illegal immigration doesn't prove it nothing will. this country is the worst I have seen in my lifetime, and I am older than dirt.

In taking this poll, I was amazed at the lack of anyone that I can get excited about. where are the real leaders. It's sad that I could only find 2 individuals acceptable (Giuliani and Romney).
