Ask the average American if top Al Qaeda terrorists should have access to classified American information and I would be shocked if even 20% agreed. Of course, all Democrats agree, but why would beltway bozos Graham, McCain and Warner just hand the issue over to them? Like Dennis Hastert's idiotic reaction to the Jefferson FBI search, not only is this bad policy but it's bad politics. If the GOP can't even get it together on a tough line against brutal killers who are neither American citizens nor adherents to the Geneva rules on warfighting (i.e. they are not entitled to Constitutional protections or Geneva rights), then the party is lost.
