Democrats for Censorship

Democrats wrap themselves in the First Amendment all the time, while assailing Republicans as stifling dissent and censoring free speech. Liberals have already made it a crime to criticize a politician prior to an election, and now they want to shut down a docudrama about 9/11.

A furious Bill Clinton is warning ABC that its mini-series "The Path to 9/11" grossly misrepresents his pursuit of Osama bin Laden - and he is demanding the network "pull the drama" if changes aren't made.
And the "permanent campaign" continues after his retirement, apparently.
The assault on "The Path to 9/11" assumed the trappings of a campaign yesterday. Four senior House Democrats -- John Conyers Jr., Jane Harman, John D. Dingell and Louise M. Slaughter -- have written Iger to demand that the inaccuracies be corrected. Spurred by the Center for American Progress, which is headed by Clinton chief of staff John D. Podesta, 25,000 people have sent letters of protest to ABC.
Who are the censors?

They have to save the Clinton legacy - nothing must stand in the way of Clinton having a good write-up in history...the truth? What is truth?

Gee, ya know,,,if you guys hadnt blazed the path with your (successful) campaign against the Reagan "docudrama" a few years ago, then I might just possibly take y'all seriously here...

Censorship means the government preventing speech. Forcing ABC to change or pull the docudrama through public shaming, or financial pressure is not censorship - it is the operation of the free market.

How is it that you can make such a blatant error?

the truth? What is truth?

Something with which you have little to no relationship in your sad little desire to save the Bush legacy.

Now, care to explain how this is any different from you conservatives crying like children with skinned knees about the Reagan biopic that didn't sufficiently deify him?
