There's no other way to explain this action of Nancy Pelosi
House Democrats are worried about the words Republicans will use to mark the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Not politicized? What about 9/11 have Democrats not politicized? Let's look at their website... "Stop the 9/11 Propaganda Film," "A Despicable, Irresponsible Fraud," "Watch the New DNC Video: Bin Laden Been Missing..." That's just on the home page... Democrats live for politicizing 9/11.House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to House Speaker Dennis Hastert Wednesday afternoon, urging him to "work with Democrats" in writing a bipartisan resolution to mark the day.
"Notice has been given to Democrats that the House will consider a resolution marking the anniversary, but as yet we have not been provided with a draft of the text," Pelosi said in her letter.
"The contents of this resolution, and the circumstances surrounding its adoption, will influence the public's perception of the way the House has treated this solemn day. I am sure you agree this occasion, and this resolution, should not be politicized."
UPDATE: Senator Dodd from Connecticut claims that "the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks will likely mark the beginning of a bitter and divisive campaign by Republicans in this year's midterm elections." It's quite clear to me that the bitter and divisive campaign has already begun, and the Democrats are the ones to blame.
