GOP to Hold House and Senate

So says Bill Lauderback of the American Conservative Union:

Bill Lauderback, the Executive Vice-President of the American Conservative Union, says he has done an extensive analysis of the 2006 House and Senate races. At election time, he notes, "conservatives consistently turn out much better than liberal Democrats do," which is one reason why he believes the GOP is unlikely to lose either chamber to the Democrats.

Still, the Lauderback does expect the Republicans will suffer some casualties. "We're going to lose some seats in the Senate," he says. "And I'm afraid a very staunch conservative, Rick Santorum, may be defeated." And that will be a shame, the political analyst adds, because he says Santorum is "a true beacon of conservative light in the United States Senate, and I hope he is able to pull his race out."

My biggest Senatorial worry is Santorum - a great American and a true beacon of political light these days. I, too, hope he'll pull out the victory: if anyone in the Senate deserves re-election, Senator Santorum is him.

My prediction of GOP victory has always been based upon the cold, hard facts of political life in the United States - and the primary fact of life is that there are more GOPers than Democrats, and GOPers turn out in higher numbers, thanks to our superb GOTV, than Democrats do. Everyone understands this - certainly the Democrats do, which is why they are engaged, along with their MSM allies, in relentless attempts to depress GOP turnout (and this does make me want a full FCC investigation in January - the level of apparent coordination between the DNC and the MSM has long ago passed anything resembling coincidence or even similar worldview...I'd like for the DNC and the MSM to cough up all memos, phone records and other documents which would allow us to determine if there was collusion).

As I've been saying for years: stout hearts! Only our wavering can cause our defeat. As long as we stand strong and keep doing the right thing, we'll prevail over all obstacles.
