Barack Obama's Shameless RacismDemocrats have cynically played the race card every two years, and Barack Obama seems to be the poster child for it this year. Best of the Web notes:

Obama, the only black U.S. senator, came to the state to rally support for Democratic Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin, who is white. Cardin's Republican opponent, Lt. Gov. Michael S. How is that possibly racist? He's saying not to vote along racial lines, vote on issues. Have you guys gotten so desperate on the Eve of the election as to not be able to read? Or is this just some desperate last minute spin to work up the base?

The hypocrisy is that he asks for the people of Maryland not vote on along racial lines and then urges people to vote for Ford because of his race. Get it?

I don't think it's racist, but it sure is hypocritical. Either race matters or it doesn't; Sen. Obama wants to have it both ways. Such duplicity should not be forgotten should Sen. Obama decide to run for President.
