Since the MSM will call NJ with 1% but wont' call VA with 66%, I'll call it:

GOP Bloggers projects Allen as the winner in Virginia.

UPDATE: CNN and Fox have both called Lieberman the winner....so much for the so-called anti-war sentiment in the country.

UPDATE: Was worried for a moment that I had called VA too early as things have tighted...but with more than 90% reported, Allen is still ahead and NRO is saying that GOP insiders are calling it a win for Allen.

I've still yet to see that wave the Democrats were talking about...

If the rest of the night goes badly, and we end up with 49 Republicans in the Senate, independent Joe Lieberman, who could caucus with the GOP, could become the most powerful man in Washington...

But I doubt we'll end up there...

And now FoxNews is calling the MD Senate in favor of Cardin (D) with only 1% f precincts reporting, although numerically Steele (R) is ahead 55% to 45% within that 1% of the vote. They say they are not using exit polls as a basis, then how in the name of Gauss and all that is statistically sound are they doing this? It defies comprehension.

I hope there is much crow eaten tonight by any and all pundits who call a race as decided when only a handful of votes have been reported!

The news agencies call it correctly most of the time. And it looks as though they were correct in not calling it since it will be recount with a slight edge to Webb.

"I've still yet to see that wave the Democrats were talking about..."

Look up. You're drowning in it.

The spirit and ideals of 94 can still win an election. Smaller government, tighter fiscal spending and GET OUTTA MY PRIVATE LIFE. The last 2 congresses passed more "Big Brother" legislation than ever.
