Lot of Recounts Out There

Virginia is headed for a recount, but according to The Hotline, a lot of House races are, too:

Recount races: CT 02, FL 13, GA 08, IA 02, NM 01, NC 08, PA 06, PA 08, WY AL

GA08 is a Democrat-held seat, and with 97% reporting, the Democrat leads by only a bit more than 2,000 votes - with absentees ballots usually counted last and usually breaking GOP, this could be the one House bright spot for the GOP. Hotline doesn't mention it, but in the GA!2, the Democrat is up with only a bit more than 3,000 votes with 95% reporting...another slim chance of a GOP pickup.

The rest of the recount seats are all GOP held...and could make the difference between a 25 and a 35 seat loss...we'll have to see.

One thing certain: this wasn't some sort of re-alignment blowout of the GOP.
