While the media focuses on Al Gore's and his allies' predictions of an environmental holocaust, I'm glad to see some realistic and sensible discussion about global warming taking place by some people.
Sen. James M. Inhofe, in one of his final actions as chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, yesterday held a hearing to investigate whether press accounts have "over-hyped" predictions of global warming. What particularly bugs me about the global warming debate is how Republicans cannot talk about the threat of terrorism without Democrats complaining about Republican "politics of fear," while they continue to make unrealistic and ridiculous "predictions" about the earth's doom... and no one calls them out on it. Democrats continually get a pass for all their politics of fear... be it regarding the environment, or their claims that Bush has made us less safe and all their other bogus scandalmongering."The media often fails to distinguish between predictions and what is actually being observed on the Earth today," the Oklahoma Republican said. "Rather than focus on the hard science of global warming, the media has instead become advocates for hyping scientifically unfounded climate alarmism."
But, the Democrats are set in their ways, the media certainly won't call them out on it....
