Mitt Romney Forms Exploratory Committee, Launches Website

Governor Mitt Romney has formed a presidential exploratory committee and shortly after launched a new website.

Mitt Romney has been my governor for the past four years. I proudly voted for him when he ran back in 2002. Had I been old enough to vote in 1994, I would have voted for him when he ran for the U.S. Senate against Ted Kennedy.

I've met Mitt Romney a couple times, and I've seen firsthand his efforts to make a difference in the solid blue state of Massachusetts. Most recently, his efforts contributed to the state legislature to vote to advance a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in the state. Kris Mineau of the Massachusetts Family Institute credited Romney's efforts for helping to achieve that goal.

I'm excited about Romney's potential candidacy, and based on our past straw polls here at GOP Bloggers, Romney has a lot of potential to win the Republican nomination in 2008.

Check out Mitt Romney's exploratory committee website, and stay tuned for what should be a very interesting and exciting campaign.
