Nancy Pelosi's Ethically Challenged Guest At The State of The Union

You got to give Nancy Pelosi credit, only she would have the guts to act all high and mighty about corruption and ethics one minute, then invite an ethically challenged fellow Democrat and former House Speaker as your guest at the State of the Union:

Former House Speaker Jim Wright was there when Nancy Pelosi was just starting out in Congress.

Tuesday night, he was on her guest list as Pelosi took her seat as House speaker behind President Bush for his state of the union speech.

Wright, a Fort Worth Democrat who served from 1987 to 1989, swore in Pelosi after she won a special election to Congress in June 1987. Wright left Congress in 1989 during an ethics investigation.

How blind and dumb are the people in this country NOT to see what she truely is inside? You can polish up the outside until it shines like a new penny - but the inside is still ugly.

When the charges were brought against Wright, he resigned. And, it doesn't seem to have been partisan motivated, oh no. He was only fingered by Newt Gingrich.
It's funny that you guys whine about the downfalls of DeLay and Ney as partisan witch-hunts (and Ney was actually convicted and sentenced) yet when you do it yourselves...

Wright was never convicted of any wrongdoing. And part of the story is actually moving. Wright swore Pelosi in the first time, and she chose him to swear her in as Speaker. Fitting, I think. His ethics cloud aside.
