Politicians Will Tell You Where You Can Use iPods, Cell Phones, BlackBerries

We already noted how busybody liberal politicians are meddling in every aspect of our lives by regulating what kind of toilet you can buy, what kinds of ingredients you can cook with, what kinds of light bulbs you can use, how to raise your kids, what you can say during an election, etc. etc.

The latest manifestation of this erosion of our rights to live life without being hectored by loudmouthed, control-freak politicians is about where you can or can't use an iPod, cell phone or a BlackBerry. I kid you not.

A state senator from Brooklyn said on Tuesday he plans to introduce legislation that would ban people from using an MP3 player, cell phone, Blackberry or any other electronic device while crossing the street in New York City and Buffalo.
Republicans ought to seize on this and other absurd examples of how big government slowly erodes our individual liberty and explain how this is the logical result of micromanagement of our lives by politicians, which is what Democrats live for.
