Senate Democrats (and Hagel) Vote for Surrender in Iraq
by Jon Roth at 06:53 PM

Democrats and fellow traveler Chuck Hagel vote to surrender to terrorists in Iraq:

Defying a veto threat, the Democratic-controlled Senate narrowly signaled support Tuesday for the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from Iraq by next March.
Why March? Why not February or April? What's the rationale for their timing? The answer is that there is no military rationale that supports this arbitrary timing. It was purely the product of backroom political negotiations, which is no way to run a war, much less to surrender one.

It's a truly sad commentary of a political party, the Democrat party, that they think more of their political future, then the future of our country. When Bill Clinton turned tail and ran in Somalia, Bin Laden said it emboldened him. Iraq is NOT like Viet Nam. The Viet Cong wouldn't have come after us in our land, but, you can bet on it that Al Qaida will. Shame on you Hagel and the Dems, but have no fear my fellow Americans, President Bush will veto up until we WIN the war in Iraq and then, our brave soldiers will come home!

Iraq has been lost a long time ago. If we were to stay there 10 more years, it would change nothing. Do you believe that staying in Viet Nam would have changed the outcome?
