It continuously amazes me how willfully ignorant global warming alarmists are. Their religious belief in the phantom of "manmade global warming" is so consuming that they block out all scientific and historical evidence to the contrary. The most recent example of this is Nancy Pelosi who, like someone near death who "saw" G-d, claims that she witnessed global warming first-hand in Greenland. Earth to Nancy: ever wonder why it's called Greenland in the first place?
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday she led a congressional delegation to Greenland, where lawmakers saw "firsthand evidence that climate change is a reality," and she hoped the Bush administration would consider a new path on the issue.There is just no denying it? Well, Professor Pelosi, why don't you talk to some real scientists instead of faux environmentalists like Al Gore? They may not categorically state that global warming does not exist or that it is not caused by man, but they will not blindly and emphpatically declare that the science is conclusive and that the debate must end with opponents to be branded as heretics and censored, which is the liberal position. Meanwhile, Greenland is not called Whiteland because at one time in history, pre-SUV, it was warm enough that it was a lush and bountiful land suitable for agriculture. Pelosi is clearly too dense to note that the same natural variability in the Earth's climate that turned it into a snow-covered landmass may be reversing itself. This is what happens when liberals reject science.The California Democrat pointed to her delegation's weekend stop in Greenland, "where we saw firsthand evidence that climate change is a reality; there is just no denying it."
"It wasn't caused by the people of Greenland - it was caused by the behavior of the rest of the world," she said.
