Now, this is just classic. Former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, who was convicted of bribery, is demanding that Congress investigate whether the investigation into his criminal activities was politically motivated.
While congressional Democrats haven't jumped on this yet, I wouldn't put it past them to give credence to Siegalman's claims. This, after all fits in with the Democrats whole philosophy on corruption. They can charge Republicans with anything, and those allegations are immediately treated as legitimate, but Democrats are always the victims of a politically motivated investigation, and thus, must be innocent.
The sad fact is, too many Democrats have seen their colleagues get away with rampant corruption, that Siegelman thinks he's entitled to get a free pass for his own corruption.
